This model depicts the Albatros restored by the U.S. National Air and Space Museum.
Structure: Fuselage is built in the manner of the full-size aeroplane with plywood formers supported between 6 spruce longerons and a 0.8mm ply stressed skin. Wings will have balsa ribs, spruce spars and a wire trailing edge. The fuselage is finished in clear varnish with enamel paint used for the markings. Now under new ownership, the wings are under construction and will be covered in doped lozenge-printed fabric.
Flying characteristics: Unknown, but expected to be similar to the full-size.
Current status: Under new ownership, being completed.
